Meditation

Everything we experience happens in our own minds. For this reason it is important to realize mind’s true nature which is lasting and permanent. Through meditation one enfolds all the possibilities of mind and comes, step by step, closer to the goal of Buddhism – enlightenment.

In our centers we use various meditations which are guided in German or in English. Our main practice is the meditation on the 16th Karmapa. This is offered regularly – in some centers daily – and is also suitable for new visitors. Participation is with out charge and completely without obligation.

Important: Explanations and the relevant texts are available to you in all Diamond Way Centers. Meditation without expert guidance should be strictly avoided.

The 16th Karmapa Meditation

is the most important meditation in the Diamond Way Centers. It is an ideal opportunity to get a taste of Diamond Way Buddhism. For ca. one thousand years the Karmapa has been the highest teacher of the Karma Kagyü Lineage. We do not, however, regard him as a person but as a reflection of our own inner abilities. By focusing on him we discover the mental richness within ourselves and become increasingly able to benefit others.

Duration: ca. 15-30 minutes.
